The Venezuelan Empanada Express Shack in Golden, Colorado offers up some delicious food!
For the uninitiated, let me tell you that Venezueala culture offers up some very delicious menu items. During my travels to Venezuela, I was able to try out many different types of dishes. One of my all-time favorites, in particular are Empanadas and Arepas. Empanadas and Arepas are cheese or meat filled pastries, made out of the flour Harina P.A.N. re-Cooked White Corn Meal.
Ever since I traveled to Venezuela, I always looked forward to having fresh, home-made empanadas and arepas. But in Colorado, they’ve been hard to find! But no longer, now you can enjoy them right here in Golden, Colorado!
This weekend, I read about a new restaraunt called the “Empanada Express” in Golden, Colorado. I knew I had to try this place out! The “restaraunt” turned out to be a trailer-food cart where the chef whips up batches of empanadas and arepas. She was so busy, I didn’t get her name, but I can tell you that the food she cooks is phenomenal.
The Empanada Express is located in Golden, CO at the corner of Ford and 24th Street, in the Denver Fencing parking lot! Bring cash as they do not accept credit at this time. It’s worth the drive, and the wait while they are making your order fresh! Order some for breakfast or lunch, and then a few more to take with you!
